For the first time, the Helsinki Chamber Choir performs as a whole in one of its regular chamber concerts at St Thomas’ Church. Matthew Whittall’s powerful and meditative work for choir and percussion contrasts with Perttu Haapanen’s playful yet serious look at the various meanings of Lewis Carroll’s Alice. Percussionist Antti Suoranta completes the programme with contrasting works for solo cymbal and marimba.

St Thomas’ Church and Meilahti Church
The Helsinki Chamber Choir has a fantastic ability to vary its sound according to the requirements and style of the work at hand.
